This commission of Jones Beach, Field Six was created on site to immerse myself in the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the ocean. The soft pastels allowed me to capture the delicate interplay of light on the waves, the shifting hues of the sky, and the textural contrast between the sea and sand.

The scene portrays a tranquil moment where the tide meets the shore, inviting viewers to feel the timeless pull of the ocean. The muted tones of the sky and the bright shimmer of the breaking wave reflect a balance between calm and energy, offering a meditative glimpse into a cherished coastal landscape.

Through this work, I hope to evoke the sense of peace that comes from standing at the water’s edge, reminding us of the beauty and power of nature.
