Painting en plein air allows me to capture the energy of a place as it unfolds in real time. My work is an exploration of light, movement, and atmosphere—an attempt to translate the fleeting moments that define a landscape. With this series of three paintings I aim to preserve the port’s ever-changing beauty and invite viewers to experience its unique charm.

I’m delighted to invite you to explore a stunning series of plein air paintings by the talented Brian Testa, now on view at No Rush Cafe in Freeport, NY. These works, painted directly from observations of the natural world, capture the essence of our community’s vibrant surroundings, from the golden light over the nautical mile to the rich textures of sandy beaches. Testa’s keen eye for the subtleties of nature and his command of color bring a fresh, contemporary sensibility to the timeless tradition of plein air painting. It’s more than a cafe—it’s a celebration of our local landscape through the eyes of an exceptional artist.
